Eli and Avigail Hayut
Eli and Avigail Hayut were significantly productive in Israel before joining Agel back in 2006; Avigail was a VP of a company while Eli owned and managed his own sushi restaurant. However, commenting on their busy schedules Avigail says, “. . . we had no life!” And so, yearning to build their family and adopt a child together, the Hayuts worked long stressful hours hoping for a day when they could afford to adopt. But it seemed an incredible, almost impossible task.
Things started changing when Alex and Yael Feigenbaum, Regional Directors, introduced the Hayuts to the Agel family. They patiently encouraged Avigail for months to attend a PBR. At long last, in September ‘06, Avigail accompanied her friends to her first Agel meeting and enrolled as a Team Member right away!
Eli’s flaring personality is evident as he recalls his first reaction to Avigail’s news about joining: “I said ‘No way!’” he says, “I told her that if she wants to do this, don’t talk to any of my friends about it, and don't talk to me!”
“But after three months,” says Eli, “we got a check in the mail from Agel. So, I told Avigail I was sorry!”
At that moment, the Hayuts realized their dream was doable—adopting a child. They could have the time to pursue that dream with Agel’s help. In Agel’s 10 Steps That Lead to Success, the first principle is that of establishing your “WHY,” the driving power behind your actions. Along with the desire to be financially free and having time to proceed in a potentially lengthy adoption process, the Hayuts found another compelling reason they wanted to succeed with Agel: “to see people changing,” says Avigail.
Bred from these two burning reasons—adopting a child and striving to help others change their lives—the Hayuts went to work. They began to have success and progress in rank back in Israel throughout 2007. But early in 2008, Eli and Avigail began thinking about Agel’s expanding market in South America and a crazy idea began forming in their minds. “We decided to move to Colombia,” says Avigail. “We felt we could help the people there.”
“We believe we were lead to Colombia as messengers,” Avigail continues. “And after being here for four months, we understand the message of Agel better.”
And moving to Colombia brought other blessings too. Through the course of their hard work establishing themselves in their new home, the Hayuts met someone whom they now call their “angel”: Maritza Galiano. Eli and Avigail were sharing the Agel message when they crossed paths with Maritza. “She then introduced us to her friend, a lawyer,” says Avigail. “And of course, we introduced them both to Agel.” Through these Agel-born relationships, Eli’s and Avigail’s number-one dream would come to fruition.
Now, this angel and lawyer duo helms the adoption process for Eli and Avigail to adopt a three-month-old Colombian baby boy. “This is our biggest dream—our ‘why Agel!’” says Avigail. “We couldn’t adopt in Israel. But Agel brought us to Colombia and provided the opportunity here where we could.”
We want to congratulate the Hayuts on adding an entirely new level of meaning to the phrase DO LIFE! The vision and courage it took to move from their home country to a bold new Agel frontier is only matched by their happiness in their new home. Thank you Hayuts for being an inspiration to us all.
May all of us in the Agel family, wherever we are in the world, emulate the spirit of faith and action in 2009 that the Hayuts have shown.
And may it be a happy and productive new year for you and yours!
