Meet the Diamonds

Welcome Agel's Newest Diamond Directors Gary and Melissa Hasson!

Newly appointed Diamonds, Gary and Melissa Hasson, live each day according to a motivating quote displayed prominently in their home. It reads, "For a few years, we will set aside the time that most people won't so that we can live the rest of our lives like most people can't."

As a child, Gary Hasson was taught that if he wanted to be successful, he'd need to do what other successful people do. "It only makes sense that if you do the same activities of those who have been successful in the field you desire to succeed in," he said, "that you should have similar results." Gary and his wife, Melissa, are now Diamonds because they followed that plan.

The Hassons started out as top income earners with another company before running into Glen Jensen in the summer of 2004. From him they learned the concept of Suspension Gel Technology. Gary had taken supplements his entire adult life and had also taken part in the nutritional MLM industry for 15 years, so he knew this company would succeed. He also knew it wasn't just about the money for Glen Jensen and Craig Bradley. "They could have taken 60 or so million if they were to walk away and sell the whole concept," said Gary. "It was about changing the lives of millions of people in the areas of their health and financial situation."

The Agel business has given Gary more time with his wife and children than "most husbands and fathers dream about." He likes having the freedom of choosing where to live, and doing what he wants under no specific time constraint. He admits it's hard work but says it's worthwhile. "Don't ever let anyone tell you it will be easy," he said. "…But, man, is it worth the effort."

Gary attributes part of his success to deciding ahead of time on a plan B when things don't go as planned. He admits there have been many challenges since starting his Agel business, but he knew everything would work out as long as he had a backup plan. He knew anything could happen — a sponsor quitting the business or a top leader leaving the company. "That doesn't mean the Agel products don't do what they're designed to do," he said. "It just means that people weren't meant for Agel at this time. Do not let someone [who] does not have all the facts about Agel discourage you from achieving your goals."

Becoming Diamonds wasn't an individual effort; it was a team effort. Gary, his wife Melissa, and their children have learned this as they've all participated in the road to Diamond. "…Your family and loved ones help make it possible," said Gary. "Then there's the Agel family, those on your team, as well as everyone in Agel." Becoming a Diamond was a difficult process. Gary's biggest struggle was "watching others fly by me!" Having taken three years to achieve Diamond status, he wondered how team members could do it in a matter of months. He asked himself, "what am I doing wrong?" But Gary quickly learned not to compare himself and gave some great advice: "Learn from others' successes and continue on YOUR road to Diamond."

Agel has provided the Hasson family with much freedom. They've been in control of their finances by living debt free, and they admit that "money can't buy you happiness, but it can sure create an occasional smile!"

Gary offers advice to team members as he quotes Calvin Coolidge: "Press on: nothing in the world can take the place of perseverance. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; un-rewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."
